Shark Shield Test Gone Horribly Wrong

Shark Shield is an awesome new technology that you attach to your surfboard. As the name implies, it (allegedly) protects you from sharks by sending out electrical waves that cause uncomfortable muscle contractions in sharks in the area.

The Shark Shield, while being tested in open water the Shark Shield had some problems. Not only did it no repel any sharks at all, it attracted one great big one. A 12-foot Great White shark got a hold of the buoy that the “shield” was connected to, proving just about the opposite of what anyone thought.

Even after this failed test, those working on the project say that the technology still works.

I’m not convinced.
