Eurogamer’s Digital Foundry time-lapsed some of the more iconic scenery seen in Fallout 3 in full 1080p resolution. Their video shows off the sheer computing power of the Fallout 3 day-night engine to dramatic music and they finish it off with a bang..
To get such a high level of detail, they used the in house Digital Foundry overclocked i7/GTX295 combo. The game was mostly playable but losing frames isn’t a big deal when recording for time-lapse. You can check out the full video over at Eurogamer’s Digital Foundry or download the giant-super-HD file at MegaUpload.
