Disney To Purchase Marvel, World In Flames

You woke up this morning, flipped on your internet-viewer to discover, Disney is purchasing Marvel. It’s possible that all that’s left of the world you know is charred, save for that weird picture of Mickey dressed as Wolverine.

With this $4 billion dollar deal, Disney “hopes to put Marvel’s 5,000 characters to work on its television channels and in video games, theme parks and movies.” Among other things, this stems from Disney appealing more to females with their Princesses and their Hannah Montanas. Marvel characters like Captain America and Wolverine are more likely to bring in males of all ages. Disney has made some mistakes in the past, but have since taken steps to move towards change for the better. A lot of people haven’t stopped to think about all the good that could result from such a merging. You never know, this could be four billion dollars of AWESOME!
