Art
Being in the first grade, Cohen Morano generally doesn’t get a lot of exposure. Having recently been published among the likes of Jim Mahfood, Chris Ware and over a hundred other artists, he’s now the most popular first grade artist around. His father, Aye Jay, sends his son’s paintings out into the world to be added to and altered by artists, spawning one of the most unique collaborations in print today. The book, Rest is Up to You: A Boy Named Cohen Morano, 118 Artists, and a Watercolor Revolution is currently available on Amazon.
Cohen has painted and collaborated since the age of two. He likes Star Wars, Gardenburgers, playing at the park, cartoons, mac and cheese, Legos and you know, being a freakin’ eight year old. When he grows up he plans to become a ‘Moviemaker’.
Below are two of his collaborations with Jason Brunson and Tiffany Bozic on the left and right respectively.
