James Cameron's Pocahontas

James Cameron’s Avatar has been all people seem to talk about these days. After grossing over a billion dollars worldwide while still showing in theaters, this is understandable. Despite all the hubbub, I couldn’t help but let out a chuckle at the below comparison to Disney’s Pocahontas:


The picture below details the basic plot of Avatar. Those who have not yet seen the film would do well to avert their eyes.



I’m not speaking ill-will of the sacred and powerful Avatar, but isn’t the similarity a little eerie?
