Claude Shannon invented a contraption referred to by many as “The Ultimate Machine”. When switched on, the machine switches itself off. Simple enough. The box is a social experiment more than anything else.
Pixar’s Luxo Jr. was just a lamp with a ball but something about that lamp made you feel. Your mileage may vary, but somehow the wooden machine in the video below manages to be cute in its own robotic way. Imagine that.
