We had such a great time in Chicago and at C2E2 this year; ReedPop puts on one heck of a show. All of the staff and volunteers were friendly and helpful and the free C2E2 app made it a breeze to find everything that we needed. There’s no doubt at all that C2E2 has been added to our “Must Attend Yearly” list. Many thanks go out to C2E2, ReedPop and everyone involved in making it happen. It was a blast!
That being said, while we work to sort out our C2E2 photos and put together a few good recap posts we just wanted to take a moment to talk about the one thing at the show that stood out above everything else (and probably the greatest thing we saw all weekend).
So many artists and retailers were donating a portion–if not all–of their profits and proceeds to relief in Japan. Hi-Chew, one of the many companies donating, sold out completely at the show and raised thousands for the Japan Relief (You can find delicious Hi-Chew snacks on Amazon!). Other booths had art raffles and a handful of artists were even doing free sketches for donations. It was endlessly inspiring to see so many people come together to help such an important cause.
If you plan to attend next year (or you’re interested in coverage this year) stalk C2E2 on Twitter and on Facebook. While you’re at it, check out the C2E2 Flickr Pool! (If you were at C2E2 this year it’s great fun to look through all of the pictures in an attempt to find some of you and your friends!)

Perusing the aisles at the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo this year I came upon a well-dressed gentlemen, one Randy Field I later learned, who illustrated a heretofore unknown webcomic by the name of Problemtown.
