We just got back from the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo 2011 and it was like no other show I’ve ever been to. Sure they had booths, artists, panels and all the other stuff conventions have but the scale and organization of C2E2 surpasses all others. On top of putting together such a rockin’ show, ReedPop made it all accessible by educating their volunteers (or “Heroes” as they’re called) as well as creating an iPhone app to help navigate the countless aspects of the show. I’ve put together a few pictures from our travels to show off some of my favorite parts of the show.

An Astronaut seems to have followed us all the way from the Space Coast.

C2E2′s Heroes were always there to help us. Every Hero we spoke to was friendly and knowledgeable about the show. Those that needed a little help had an internet enabled smart phone with the C2E2 app. No question went unanswered!

Whether it was his dollar sketches, or his expertly tied necktie, Art Baltazar‘s booth had a line the entire time we were in Chicago.

The International Quidditch Association made an appearance. Not only did they have a booth, but they played and taught the game throughout the convention.

Here we see Chris Uminga, a man that draws some of the cutest, though still oddly edgy art I’ve ever seen.

We caught a glimpse of the back of Ben Templesmith‘s head as he shook hands with one of his fans. Sadly, you can only barely see his beard in this shot.

Despite his immense popularity (there was an enormous crowd) we were able to snap a picture of Danny McBride doing press for his upcoming film Your Highness.

I just wanted to thank ReedPop for allowing us to attend the show and for continuing to host events of such a high quality.
