Update! ESPN.com released behind the scenes footage of the filming of Blake Griffin’s “Put Black Griffin in RAGE” Commercial. Check it out here.
Blake Griffin, power forward for the Los Angeles Clippers (he’s a basketball player for any who find themselves lost in that last statement), is petitioning to be in id Software‘s latest first-person shooter offering, RAGE.
Everything I’ve seen from RAGE so far is of the mind-blowing variety so wanting to get in on it is understandable. Does Blake Griffin have any idea what the game is actually about or what role he might play in it? Probably not. Is he willing to camp out in front of id headquarters and face tigers to secure his spot in the game? The video below answers that second question better than I could ever hope to.
Between winning Rookie of the Year, being chosen as an NBA All-Star and winning the 2011 NBA Slam Dunk Contest, getting a part in a video game would simply ice the accomplishment cake Griffin’s already prepared. TIGER JUMP!
If you like what you see you can pre-order RAGE right now. No word on whether or not Griffin will be in there, but you can bet we’re crossing our collective fingers. Godspeed, sir.
